Abstract:
To achieve compactification of a park lock mechanism.SOLUTION: A power transmission device 1 has: a motor 2; a planetary reduction gear 5 connected to the downstream of the motor 2; and a differential gear 6 connected to the downstream of the planetary reduction gear 5. In the power transmission device 1, a stepped pinion gear 53 of the planetary reduction gear 5 and a differential case 60 of the differential gear 6 are connected by an engagement mechanism 31 in a manner such that these components cannot rotate relative to each other to restrict rotation of the differential gear 6. The engagement mechanism 31 comprises: a piston 32 which rotates integrally with the differential case 60 and can slide in a rotation axis X direction; and a recessed part 33 which is provided at the stepped pinon gear 53 and where an engagement protrusion 321 of the piston 32 is engaged or disengaged from the rotation axis X direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
