Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control browsing of attribute data according to a browser, a purpose of browsing, etc. SOLUTION: An information presenting system presents the contents of an electronic map database via the Internet. The map database has element data for storing the shapes, etc., of a building, etc., and attribute data storing the kind, etc., and has 'request level' being an index requested to the browser for browsing the attribute data stored therein. In the case of receiving a request for displaying of a map, the access level of the browser is specified and information is presented in the range of exceeding the request level. A map including detailed information is presented to a browser at a high access level, and a map in the state of omitting information is presented to the browser at a low access level.
