PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize space-saving by restraining an enlargement of the whole line, without largely increasing manhours, even if a part-joining process is incorporated into a press molding line.SOLUTION: When starting processing of an upper mold shoe 5 after setting by overlapping a joining surface Ba of a brace material B and an end part of a work W on a molding surface 2a of a lower punch 2, first of all, an upper processing blade 3 suspended by a constant pressure holding source 6 interposingly presses the joining surface Ba of the brace material B and the work W, and forms a flange in an end part Wa of the work W by pressing an edge blade 3b to an edge part 2b. A descent of the upper mold shoe 5 is continued while interposingly pressing the work W and the brace material B by elastic displacement of the constant pressure holding source 6, and a thrust-up cam 18 is lifted by operating a cam mechanism 11 with that as a driving source, and both are joined by a rivet by driving a self-pierce rivet R in the brace material B and the work W by projecting a rivet extrusion pin 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
