Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving the processing efficiency for a print job by making utmost use of a printing resource of a printer, and thereby controlling the time occupied by the printer for one print job to be shortened.SOLUTION: A print control device which controls printing means includes: prediction means for predicting the processing time required for print processing by the printing means according to a first setting, for each page of a plurality of pages; specifying means for integrating the processing prediction time predicted by the prediction means according to the order of pages, and specifying, among the plurality of pages, a page whose integrated value of the processing prediction time, which is integrated to each page, exceeds a threshold of integrated value set for each page; and control means for causing the printing means to perform print processing on at least one page among pages to the page specified by the specifying means according to a second setting different from the first setting, and thereby controlling the processing time to be shortened to the specified page.
