Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer or the like on which JAM hardly occurs.SOLUTION: A printer of an embodiment comprises: a transport roller for transporting a booklet in an open state and whose fore edge faces a transport direction, along a transport path; a page turning roller disposed on the transport path, contacting a spread surface of the booklet and rotating thereby flipping up a page of the booklet; a page turning control part for rotating the page turning roller for flipping up the page of the booklet, then, controlling the transport roller and performing page ejection transport of the booklet along the transport path, thereby transporting the page of the booklet from one side to the other side of the spread surface; and a transport assist control part for, after the page turning control part starts the page ejection transport, starting rotation of the page turning roller in a direction that is opposite to the direction where the page of the booklet is flipped, at a timing that, a neck part of the booklet passes an installation position of the page turning roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
