Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a printing program that can conceal information printed on a sheet by overprint, with a simpler configuration of the printer.SOLUTION: In response to input of a normal print instruction, a page image is printed on a sheet (Steps S1 to S5). In response to input of a confidential print instruction, based on print completion information on the printed image, which is the printed page image, at least one of the information areas contained in the printed image is specified as a confidential area (Steps S7 to S11). Confidential print data for overprinting concealing patterns in the specified confidential area is generated (Step S13). Based on the generated confidential print data, concealing patterns are overprinted in the confidential area in the printed sheet (S15).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
