Abstract:
To provide a liquid jet device which enables a retreat position of a maintenance member to be set to a proper position with consideration given to arrangement of a dry part.SOLUTION: A printer includes: an electrostatic transport part which supports a sheet transported along a transport path 20; a print head 141 having nozzles 142 which jet an ink to the sheet supported by the electrostatic transport part; a dry part 65 which heats the sheet to dry the sheet; and a cap 70 which forms a closed space 72. The cap 70 moves between a space formation position in which the cap 70 is placed when forming the closed space 72 and a retreat position different from the space formation position. The retreat position of the cap 70 is away from the dry part 65 farther than the space formation position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
