Abstract:
To provide a printing apparatus capable of performing pre-print processing, in just proportion, on a sheet the front and rear of which are inverted.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus comprises: a processing unit 27 that performs processing including printing on a sheet 4; a processing cylinder 21 that conveys the sheet 4 to a position where the processing is performed by the processing unit 27; a first pre-print processing unit 25 disposed on an upstream side in a sheet conveyance direction from the processing cylinder 21; a pre-print conveyance unit 16 that conveys the sheet 4 to a position where pre-print processing is performed by the first pre-print processing unit 25, and sends the sheet 4 to processing cylinder 21; a conveyance mechanism 26 that receives the printed sheet 4 from the processing cylinder 21 and sends it to a unit for a next step; and an inverting cylinder 45 that receives the sheet 4 from the conveyance mechanism 26 and inverts the front and rear thereof. The sheet 4 the front and rear of which are inverted is conveyed to the upstream side of the first pre-print processing unit 25 in the sheet conveyance direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
