Abstract:
To provide a printing device capable of accurately calculating a residual quantity of a roll sheet.SOLUTION: A printing device comprises: a spool for holding a roll sheet where a sheet is wound around a winding core in a roll shape; supply means for supplying the sheet from the roll sheet by rotating the spool; conveyance means for conveying the sheet supplied from the supply means; outer diameter calculation means for calculating an outer diameter of the roll sheet held by the supply means; residual quantity calculation means for calculating a residual quantity of the roll sheet by using the outer diameter calculated by the outer diameter calculation means; and a storage part for storing a variable for calculating the residual quantity by the residual quantity calculation means. The printing device prints an image on the sheet, and, when a terminal edge of the roll sheet is detected, changes the variable of the storage part if the residual quantity exceeds an allowable range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
