Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process condition determination device which can determine process conditions that can improve the cutting efficiency without reducing the tool life, and to provide a cutting tool selection device which can select a cutting tool which can improve the cutting efficiency without reducing the tool life.SOLUTION: A process condition determination device 1 according to the invention includes: a first setting part 2a which sets a cutting speed of a cutting tool; a storage part 3 which stores a maximum output value of a driving motor for rotating a spindle which holds the cutting tool and a rotation number of the driving motor which corresponds to the maximum output value; a rotation number determination part 4 which obtains a steady-state value of the maximum output value of the driving motor stored in the storage part 3 to determine the rotation number of the driving motor which corresponds to the steady-state value of the obtained maximum output value; and a tool diameter determination part 5 which calculates a tool diameter of the cutting tool from the cutting speed set by the first setting part 2a and the rotation speed of the driving motor determined by the rotation number determination part 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
