Abstract:

To provide a method for simplifying inspection and measurement when machining a large-sized circular structure.

A water jet WJ drives a driven device (impeller) 6 through a driving shaft 4 driven by a motor 2. In the machining method for the large bore diameter member, a laser beam L is made to pass between the axis center X of the driving shaft 4 and the center point of a flange 9 for installing the driven device 6, a space 30c for passing the laser beam L is formed at a spindle 30b for driving a machining tool in a machine tool (boring excavator) 30 for machining the surface of the flange 9, an installation attitude of the machine tool 30 is corrected with an optical path of the laser beam as a reference L, and a working position of the machining tool is adjusted.
