Abstract:
The process according to the invention is of the kind according to which an additive substance (11) is diffused in a controlled manner within a base substance (10) which, made up of at least one partially polymerised monomer capable of resulting in a homopolymer of refractive index N1, is in the state of a gel, the additive substance itself being made up of at least one monomer capable of producing a homopolymer of refractive index N2 which differs from N1.
According to the invention the additive substance (11) chosen is a mixture of at least two monomers (A, B) and the composition of this mixture is varied with time.
Application to the production of components made of synthetic substance of optical quality suited especially to the production of ophthalmic lenses.
