Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a foam-formed sheet having no uneven orientation at the time of stretching, in particular, having a significantly excellent moldability to deep-drawn vessels. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a foam sheet is such that while polystylene pellets are placed into an extruder to be melt-kneaded, and after press-feeding butane therein, it is shifted to a second stage extruder to be extruded cylindrically so as to be a foam sheet while being foamed into the atmosphere from a circular die attached to the extruder, where in at a lapse of time of two hours from the initiation of extruding operation, sampling is executed to be measured by a molecular orientation meter in its microwave penetration strength, and extrusion control is effected that the ratio TD/MD between the microwave penetration strength (MD) in the sheet extrusion direction and the microwave penetration strength (TD) normal to the sheet extrusion accounts for in 0.4-3.0.
