Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent complicated structure or manufacturing processes, prevent damage to commutator pieces, and implement favorable electrical contact between the commutator pieces and metal pieces in a disk commutator of noncommutator surface junctioned. SOLUTION: The projected portions 13 of the commutator pieces 1 are press- fit into the holes 4 in the metal pieces 2. Before insertion of the projected portions 13 into the holes 4, the entire surfaces of the intended contact regions of the projection portions 13, or regions to be in contact with the holes 4 after the insertion, are formed so that the diameter of the intended contact regions is larger than the diameter of the holes 4. During the insertion, therefore, the parts of the metal pieces 2 opposed to the holes 4 shave the outer circumferential faces of the projected portions 13. Thus, the holes 4 and the projected portions 13 are brought into favorable contact with each other in the intended contact regions.
