PURPOSE: To execute EB welding of metallic chrome and dissimilar metal of pure iron, chrome, nickel, copper, ferritic stainless steel (SUS430), austenic stainless steel (SUS304, SUS310S) or 'Inconel(R)' 600 alloy.
CONSTITUTION: Metallic chrome compact of purity of ≥99.9wt.% and dissimilar metal compact of pure iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, ferritic stainless steel (SUS430), austenic stainless steel (SUS304 or SUS310S) or 'Inconel(R)' 600 alloy, and whose oxygen content of ≤360ppm are used. In this electron beam welding method, the irradiating position of the electron beam is adjusted so that the amount of metallic chrome in the weld metal part may be 20-60wt.% (in the case of cobalt as the dissimilar metal, the amount of metallic chrome in the weld metal part may be 20-30wt.%).
