Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expanded mesh sheet having a shape in which grid bodies in both end parts are closed, provide a method for producing such an expanded mesh sheet, and provide an apparatus for producing the mesh sheet. SOLUTION: In a process of forming slits 11 in a band-like metal sheet 4 in the longitudinal direction and roughening the sheet surface in the width direction, a plurality of small slits 42 shorter than the slits 11 and small projected and recessed parts corresponding to the small slits 42 are formed only at the points where cutting is carried out. In a process of expanding the metal sheet 4 in the width direction, the points, where the small slits 42 and small projected and recessed parts are formed, are made to have a shape such that a plurality of specified grid bodies 17 having thin and long expanded shapes in the width direction are linearly joined in the width direction. In a process of cutting the metal sheet 4 along a cutting line 19 in the width direction, the sheet 4 is cut along the cutting line 19 in the width direction, passing through respective center parts of a plurality of the specified grid bodies 17 to obtain an expanded mesh sheet, of which both end parts are hemmed by a plurality of grid skeletons 1 joined and formed approximately linearly along the width direction.
