Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically discharge the excessive sludge accumulated on the bottom part of an aeration tank purifying waste water by biological treatment without lowering the rate of operation.
CONSTITUTION: Sludge withdrawing pipes 15 are arranged to the corner parts where excessive sludge is easily accumulated on the bottom part of an aeration tank 10 to be connected to a pump and the pump is automatically operated by a controller 19 such as a timer. Sludge suction holes are provided to the sludge withdrawing pipes 15 at a proper interval.
