To provide a heat-storage microcapsule having high heat-storage performance.
This heat-storage microcapsule has a core substance consisting of a phase-change substance accumulating or releasing latent heat according to the phase change and a capsule wall composed mainly of a thermoplastic resin produced by polymerizing a polymerizable monomer and covering the core substance. The capsule wall of the heat-storage microcapsule is a film having a plurality of protrusions on the inner circumferential surface. As an alternative, the heat-storage microcapsule has a thermal weight loss of ≤3% after heating in vacuum at 80°C for 5 hr, and a thermal weight loss of ≤5% after pressing the microcapsule with 1 MPa pressure and heating in vacuum at 80°C for 5 hr.
