PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual field information collection method that can collect visual information on users mounting a head-mounted display (HMD) without giving a processor a large load.SOLUTION: A visual field information collection method to be executed by a processor includes: setting a virtual camera defining a visual axis L for determining a visual field CV in virtual space in which a user U mounting an HMD is absorbed (S10); determining the visual axis L in accordance with a motion of the HMD or a visual line direction of the user (S11); deciding whether the visual axis moves from a prescribed first position to a prescribed second position (S15); and, when it is decided that the visual axis moves from the prescribed first position to the prescribed second position, creating movement information indicating that the visual axis moves (S17).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
