Abstract:
To provide a protection circuit including a plurality of varistors, in which, even when a short-circuit failure or an open-circuit failure occurs in one of the varistors, another varistor is operated, and further, the varistor failure can be detected.SOLUTION: A protection circuit 100 which is connected in parallel with a protection target X, includes a main varistor 10, a fuse 20 connected in series with the main varistor 10, a backup varistor 30 connected in parallel with the main varistor 10 and the fuse 20, and a current detection unit 40 that detects a current flowing through the backup varistor 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
