Abstract:
To provide a proton conductor increased in the durability against water and carbon dioxide.SOLUTION: A proton conductor comprises a phase having a proton conducting property and represented by the following formula (1): La2±x(MyL1-y)2±zO7-δ (where the elements M include an element of Group V of the periodic table and as an essential component, Nb, the elements L include an element of Group III of the periodic table other than La and as an essential component, Y, 0≤x≤0.1, 0.3≤y≤0.4 and 0≤z≤0.1, and δ is an oxygen deficiency amount). The rate that Nb accounts for in the elements M is 90 mol% or more, and the rate that Y occupies in the elements L is 90 mol% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
