To provide a drawing apparatus for a storage furnishing which apparatus can improve the operability of a handle body placed on the upper face of the front board of a drawer and does not lower its anti-theft ability.

In this drawing apparatus 11, a latch is released by the operation of drawing the handle of a drawer. On the upper side of a front board 1, the drawing apparatus has a handle body 12 with a roughly L-shaped side view which can be turned around a clockwise and counterclockwise rotary shaft 17 separated downward from the upper part of the front board 1 and comprises a horizontal board section 12a which is set sideways roughly horizontally and a vertical board section 12b which is set sideways roughly vertically. The drawing apparatus also has a cover body 13 with a roughly L-shaped side view which is a jointing section which fills the gap made by the rotation of the handle body 12 and comprises a horizontal cover body 13a which is set sideways roughly horizontally on the upper side of the horizontal board section 12a of the handle body 12 and a vertical cover body 13b which is set sideways roughly vertically from the rear edge of the horizontal cover body 13a.
