Abstract:
To provide a pulse sensor which can highly accurately determine that the attachment to a prescribed portion of the body of a user is insufficient.SOLUTION: A pulse sensor according to an embodiment comprises: an attachment mechanism which is attached to a prescribed portion of the body of a user; a light emission part which emits the light toward the portion; a light reception part which detects the reflection light of the emitted light and outputs a pulse wave signal; a control part which separates the pulse wave signal into the AC component and the DC component, detects the maximum AC component being the maximum value of the AC component for each cycle, detects the increasing rate maximum AC component being the point that takes the maximum value of the increasing rate between the maximum AC component and the maximum AC component one before that in the AC component, calculates the first index value by using the increasing rate maximum AC component, and performs the first determination for determining whether or not the first index value is included in a first threshold range; and an output part which outputs information indicating that the attachment is insufficient when the result of the first determination by the control part shows that the first index value is not included in the first threshold range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
