Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump operation pattern control method for controlling a pump unit so as to operate in an energy saving manner.SOLUTION: A pump operation pattern control method of the present invention calculates a pump efficiency of an operation pump with a pump operation pattern Pi from the discharge flow rate and the rotational speed of the operation pump and a pump efficiency of an operation pump with a pump operation pattern Ph or a pump operation pattern Pl when switching the pump operation pattern from the pump operation pattern Pi to the pump operation pattern Ph or pump operation pattern Pl regardless of whether the capacities of operating pumps operated in parallel are the same or different. Furthermore, from the calculated pump efficiencies, a total shaft power of the operation pump with the pump operation pattern Pi and a total shaft power of the operation pump with the pump operation pattern Ph or the pump operation pattern Pi are calculated so as to determine the pump operation pattern with a lower total shaft power of the operation pump.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
