Abstract:
Device for perforating a book (7) consisting of two cover parts (6, 15) joined by a fold and pages (3) comprises a transport device (1) for the book, a laser unit (2) for perforating the pages, a bearing plate (5) for one cover part (6), a pressure plate (12) facing the laser for pressing together the pages to be perforated, and a laser plate (9) running parallel to the pressure plate a short distance away from the pressure plate. The pressure plate is angled toward the bearing plate. An independent claim is also included for a process for perforating a book. Preferred Features: The pressure plate is angled toward the bearing plate by more than 45[deg].
