Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single crystal suited for a crystal sponge method, a quality discrimination method of the single crystal used for the crystal sponge method, a fabrication method of a sample for crystal structure analysis using the single crystal of which the quality is discriminated by the method, a preparation method of a solution including a compound to be analyzed used for the crystal sponge method, and a fabrication method of the sample for crystal structure analysis using the solution including the compound to be analyzed obtained by the method, as well as a molecular structure determination method of the compound to be analyzed using the sample for crystal structure analysis obtained by the method.SOLUTION: There is provided a single crystal of a porous compound or the like, which is a single crystal used for fabricating a sample for crystal structure analysis of a compound to be analyzed by bringing the single crystal of the porous compound having a three-dimensional skeleton and three-dimensionally and regularly arranged pores and/or hollows formed by partitioning with the three-dimensional skeleton into contact with a solution including the compound to be analyzed and arranging molecules of the compound to be analyzed regularly in the pores and/or hollows, in which an edge of the single crystal is 10-2,000 μm and the single crystal retains single crystallinity even after the single crystal has been brought into contact with a solvent chemically identical to the solvent of the solution including the compound to be analyzed.SELECTED DRAWING: None
