Abstract:
To provide a rack bar structured such that rack teeth located at an end of the rack bar have high strength while the whole rack bar does not have a large diameter and a steering device including the rack bar.SOLUTION: A rack bar 11 of the present invention includes rack tooth rows 11AA, 11AB having plural rack teeth 11a, 11b engaging with a pinion tooth 9a. A predetermine number of rack teeth 11b located at an end of the rack tooth rows 11AA, 11AB are formed so as to have a tooth width Wb greater than a tooth width Wb of other rack teeth 11a (Wb>Wa).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
