Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack guide and a rack-pinion type steering device including the rack guide in which a rack bar engaged with a pinion pivotally supported at a gear case through rack-teeth is movably supported in an axial direction and a rack bar supporting state by the rack guide can be kept stably and rigidly.SOLUTION: There are provided a salient surface 3b opposite to a side where rack teeth 3a at the rack bar 3 are formed and a sliding support surface 6a of recessed surface shape slidably contacted with. The surface of the sliding supporting surface 6a is covered by a resin coating film 10 and some fine salient points 61 constituting the surface roughness of the sliding supporting surface 6a are positioned on the surface of the resin coating film 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
