Abstract:
To provide a railway vehicle having a gable column constituting a front surface gable body structure of a leading vehicle that is not easily broken from an underframe even when an accident such as a head-on collision with a large truck occurs.SOLUTION: In the railway vehicle having a gable column 11 that constitutes a front surface gable body structure of a leading vehicle and has one end fixed to an underframe, the gable column 11 includes a protruding column part 11a protruding from a lower end surface of the underframe 10 and has a U-shaped member 12 with a U-like shape in that an inner surface of a U-shaped bottom part is abutted on the protruding column part 11a and a pair of straight parts 12b and 12c of the U-like shape are welded and joined to the lower surface of the underframe 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
