Abstract:
To provide a railway vehicle and a control method of a thermal load reduction device capable of realizing both energy saving of an air conditioner and comfortableness inside a car by reduction of a solar radiation load.SOLUTION: When an EC film is attached to a window pane to serve as a thermal load reduction device capable of changing solar radiation transmissivity by applied voltage, the applied voltage to the EC film is individually adjusted with seat positions in accordance with solar radiation amounts measured by a pyranometer mounted on a destination display device outside a car and temperature distribution inside the car, which is obtained by an infrared camera or a temperature sensor mounted on a ceiling inside the car. This makes it possible to suppress troubles degrading comfortableness of an indoor space such as a trouble in which a too cold condition is generated depending on seat positions due to differences in effects of air conditioning depending on the seat positions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
