Abstract:
To provide a distance measuring device with which it is possible to accurately and quickly measure a distance even when a change occurs to a direction in which a moving body such as a traveling device moves.SOLUTION: The distance measuring device comprises: a scan unit 2 for causing a laser beam which is an electromagnetic wave to be scanned with respect to a prescribed scan range SR and mounted in a moving body MO; an acceleration sensor 20 as a detection unit DT for detecting a change of movement mode of the moving body MO; and a distance measurement point control unit 11 for changing a density with respect to the distribution of distance measurement points RP in the scan range SR on the basis of the result of detection by the acceleration sensor 20. Thus, the distance measurement point control unit 11 causes, on the basis of the result of detection by the acceleration sensor 20, a density with respect to the distribution of distance measurement points RP in the scan range SR to change and detects the presence of an obstacle in the surrounding of the moving body MO.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
