２種以上のインフルエンザウイルス株のゲノム分節を持つリアソータントインフルエンザウイルスを作出する方法を提供する。以下の工程を含む、第１のインフルエンザウイルス株の抗原タンパク質を含むリアソータントインフルエンザウイルスを作出する方法による。１）第１のインフルエンザウイルス株に、初期感染能を有し、かつウイルス増殖性が喪失又は低下する照射量で紫外線を照射する工程；２）宿主に、第１のインフルエンザウイルス株と第２のインフルエンザウイルス株を感染させる工程；３）第１のインフルエンザウイルス株と第２のインフルエンザウイルス株が感染した宿主を培養して、培養物を得る工程；４）工程３）において得られた培養物から、第２のインフルエンザウイルス株の抗原タンパク質を有するインフルエンザウイルス株を失活させる工程；５）工程４）の後に、リアソータントインフルエンザウイルスを回収する工程。
