Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation technique which can reduce a user operation load and facilitate judging and selecting of facility types of automatically allotting icons to facilities. SOLUTION: There are provided an absolute position/azimuth-detecting part 1, absolute azimuth-detecting part 2, vehicle velocity detecting part 3, main CPU and its peripheral circuit 4, memory group M, user interface part 9, display part 10, input part 11, CD-ROM control part 12, FM multi receiving and processing part 13, and light/wave beacon receiving and processing part 14. To the main CPU and its peripheral circuit 4 are set with a present position- calculating part 40, destination-designating part 41, route-calculating part 42, guide part 43, facility-extracting part 44 for extracting facilities, facility-selecting part 45 for selecting facilities, point-registering part 46 for registering facility data of the facilities, icon searching part 47 for searching icon data, and icon display control part 48 for making icons displayed on the display part 10.
