Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect high-purity bismuth.SOLUTION: A method for collecting the bismuth includes: a step (S1) of adding an alkali to an acid solution containing the bismuth and a chloride ion to keep pH within a range of 2.5 or more but less than 4.0, thereby obtaining a slurry that comprises a neutralized precipitate containing the bismuth; a step (S2) of collecting the neutralized precipitate from the slurry; a step (S3) of adding 4 mol/l or more of alkaline solution to the neutralized precipitate collected through the step S2, and then stirring the neutralized precipitate to remove chlorine from the neutralized precipitate; and a step (S4) of collecting a bismuth precipitate.
