Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently recover copper and zinc from neutralizing precipitate containing copper and zinc.SOLUTION: A method for recovering copper and zinc from neutralizing precipitate containing iron, copper, zinc, aluminum, and a silica component includes: a step of preparing an acid solution containing copper, zinc, aluminum, and a silica component, except for an iron component using the neutralizing precipitate; and a step of precipitating and separating the aluminum and the silica component by oxidizing the acid solution. In the precipitating and separating step, the pH of the acid solution is 4.3-4.7, and the oxidation is preferably performed by directly injecting air into the acid solution. The recovery method further includes a step of treating waste water to obtain the neutralizing precipitate before the step of preparing the acid solution. The waste water is derived from an abandoned mine.
