Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for recovering a noble metal, by which the noble metal can be efficiently recovered from a material containing the noble metal without using a process such as copper smelting or strongly oxidizing acid such as aqua regia.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for recovering a nobel metal from a material containing one or both of the noble metal and a compound thereof, comprising: a step of forming a compound oxide comprising the noble metal and one or both of an alkali metal and an alkali earth metal by mixing and heating the noble metal in the noble-metal-containing material and one or both of an alkali metal source and an alkali earth metal source; and a step of dissolving a metal component in the acid by bringing the material containing the obtained compound oxide into contact with an acid.
