Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery method of platinum group metals capable of recovering platinum group metals with good efficiency without using acid with strong oxidation power, which generates waste fluid difficult to be processed.SOLUTION: A platinum group metal-containing raw material is input into an electric furnace together with a flux component for lowering the melting point of a slag and Ag metal or Cu metal as a collector metal, molten at 1300 to 1600°C to generate a molten slag layer at an upper layer side and a molten metal layer consisting of the collector metal in a lower layer side, and platinum group metals in the platinum group metal-containing raw material is concentrated in the molten metal. It is preferable that a purification treatment of the platinum group metal is conducted by taking off the molten metal containing the platinum group metal from the electric furnace and treating the same in a dry copper making process.SELECTED DRAWING: None
