Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a noble metal from sulfide mineral at high recovery rate.SOLUTION: Alkali is added to mineral concentrate obtained by griding and selecting sulfide mineral containing iron, arsenic, antimony, a noble metal, to make slurry and perform alkali oxidation treatment for oxidizing the mineral concentrate, slurry is separated tono solid and liquid phases, and cyanide refining process of residue is conducted to recover the noble metal. During the alkali oxidation treatment, alkali with the amount calculated from the following formula based on a quality of iron, arsenic and antimony in the mineral concentrate is added, and the oxidation treatment is ended when an oxidation reduction voltage of slurry, with a temperature of the slurry maintaining at 65°C to 85°C, reaches -80 mV or more in a value measured by using a silver-silver chloride electrode as a reference electrode. W=[G×0.134+G×0.123+G×0.627)×molecular weight of alkali, where W is the amount (g) of alkali per 1 kg of the mineral concentrate, Gis an arsenic quality (mass%), Gis an antimony quality (mass%) and Gis an iron quality (mass%).
