Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering scandium capable of easily and efficiently recovering high quality scandium from nickel oxide ore.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for recovering scandium where nickel oxide ore containing scandium (Sc) is subjected to sulfuric acid leaching at high temperature under high pressure (S1), a leachate is subjected to neutralization treatment with a neutralizer (S2), a sulfurizing agent is added to the neutralized liquid solution, and is subjected to sulfurization treatment (S3), next, after the sulfurized liquid solution is contacted with a chelate resin, and Sc in the sulfurized liquid solution is adsorbed on the chelate resin to obtain a scandium eluate (S4), the Sc eluate is neutralized to obtain the precipitates of Sc hydroxide, and thereafter, a sulfuric acid solution is added to the Sc hydroxide to obtain an Sc nitric acid solution (S5), next, the Sc nitric acid solution is contacted with a neutral extraction agent, solvent extraction is performed, and impurity elements other than Sc are subjected to extraction separation (S6), the Sc in the extraction residual liquid obtained by the solvent extraction is made into a salt, the Sc salt is roasted, and Sc oxide is obtained to recover Sc (S7).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
