Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the recovery rate of an iron-manganese oxide recovered from slag.SOLUTION: A method for recovering valuable metals after subjecting steel slag containing a CaO-SiO-POphase and an (Fe, Mn)Ox phase to base metal-removing treatment for removing base metal includes: subjecting the steel slag having a basicity of less than 1.5 or the steel slag having a basicity exceeding 2.5 after the treatment to reforming treatment in a temperature range of 1,250 to 1,400°C so that the basicity may be in the range of 1.5 to 2.5; subjecting the steel slag having been subjected to the metal-removing treatment and the reforming treatment to grinding treatment so that the representative particle size after the grinding may be 50 μm or less; subjecting the slag after the grinding treatment to classifying treatment for classifying the slag to coarse particles and fine particles so that the ratio of the representative particle size of the coarse particles to the representative particle size of the fine particles may be 2.5 or more; and recovering the coarse particles after the classifying treatment.
