Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently collect copper from exhaust gas dust, in an apparatus for collecting the copper contained in the exhaust gas dust.SOLUTION: A method for collecting the copper includes making the gas flowing speed in a secondary flue lower than that in a primary flue, in flues provided with the primary flue where the exhaust gas discharged from a converter for copper-smelting flows and the secondary flue which is connected with the downstream side of the primary flue. The apparatus for collecting the copper is provided with the primary flue where the exhaust gas discharged from the converter for copper-smelting flows and one or more of the secondary flues which are connected with the ceiling part of the primary flue and inclined more on the vertical upper side than the extending direction of the primary flue, and the total cross sectional area of one or more of the secondary flues is larger than that of the primary flue.
