Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To refine and recover a high-quality metal by efficiently reducing a powdery metal oxide.SOLUTION: A pipe member having slits is arranged vertically penetrating a crucible. Many clusters of powdery metal oxide are heated in the crucible. The metal oxide exposed to the slits of the pipe member is brought into contact with a reducing gas to be melted. The molten metal flows down in the pipe member and is brought into contact with the reducing gas little by little and collected after flowing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
