Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection device and reference position setting method in the position detection device that allow a reference position meeting a sensation of workers to be easily set in a short time.SOLUTION: A position detection device 10 is provided in a web guide device 1 provided in a manufacturing line manufacturing products as continuously conveying a web W, and the position detection device 10 comprises: a transmission unit 12 that irradiates a web with a sound wave or electromagnet wave; a reception unit 13 that receives the sound wave or electromagnet wave discharged from the transmission unit 12; and a determination unit 20 that determines a deviation of a web end part WE with respect to a reference position on the basis of energy of the sound wave or electromagnetic wave received by the reception unit 13. The determination unit 20 comprises a storage function 21 that, when a reference setting signal is input to the determination unit 20, store the energy of the sound wave or electromagnetic wave being received by the reception unit 13 when the reference setting signal is input as a reference amount of light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
