Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refining method of Al scrap by which an Al refined article (an integration body of the compressed primary crystal) from which Si is removed at a predetermined high Si removal rate, can be highly efficiently produced from Al scrap at high volume (high Al recovery rate).SOLUTION: In the method for refining molten metal 2 of Al scrap housed in a container 1, a compacting plate 4a is lowered to the molten metal 2 of Al scrap containing the primary crystal 3a generated in a primary crystal generating step, in such a manner that both a pressure-loaded portion (a) to which the pressure is loaded, and a pressure non-loaded portion (b) to which any pressure for discharging the liquid phase below the compacting plate 4a also from a portion other than a liquid phase discharging hole is not loaded are present.
