To provide a technique with which by effectively utilizing BOG (boil-off gas) as a reducing agent for a carbon dioxide gas, time and labor for re-liquefying the BOG can be eliminated and an increase in the heat of exhaust gas and a decrease in the discharge of the carbon dioxide gas can simultaneously be achieved.
In the method for reforming the exhaust gas containing the carbon dioxide gas, when reforming the exhaust gas by adding the reducing agent to the exhaust gas containing high temperature carbon dioxide gas to introduce reforming reaction by the carbon dioxide gas contained in the exhaust gas and the reducing agent, the boil-off gas which volatilizes in a liquefied gas storage tank is used as the reducing agent. There is also provided reforming equipment which is used to implement the method.
