Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization device capable of effectively decomposing synthetic pyrethroid-based and carbamate-based agricultural chemicals etc., and a refrigerator with the sterilization device.SOLUTION: A sterilization device comprises: a storage part 2 for fresh food; a UV lamp 7 as a light source for irradiating the inside of the storage part 2 with near ultraviolet rays having a UV-C wavelength; and an ozone generator 5 which supplies ozone to the storage part 2. According to one embodiment, a mechanism part 4 fitted to a lid part 3 comprises a circulation fan 6 and a duct 10. The UV lamp 7 is arranged downstream from the ozone generator 5 in an air blowing direction. When the ozone is generated by the ozone generator 5, the UV lamp 7 emits the near ultraviolet rays having the wavelength UV-C, and the ozone and the near ultraviolet rays having the wavelength UV-C are used in combination to decompose agricultural chemicals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
