Abstract:
To more efficiently perform quick freezing.SOLUTION: A refrigerator 1 includes: an upper freezing chamber 11 provided on a refrigerator body 3; a container 45 stored in the upper freezing chamber 11; an elastic bag 47 which is housed in the container 45 and in which fluid 51 for subjecting food 49 to quick freezing is encapsulated; and an open/close plate 53 closing an upper opening of the container 45. The container 45 includes: a bottom wall 45a; and a front wall 45b, a rear wall 45c, and right and left side walls 45d, 45e which are raised up to the equal height from the bottom wall 45a over the whole periphery in the peripheral direction. When the opening/closing plate 53 is closed with respect to the upper part opening of the container 45 and is made to come in contact with a food upper surface 49a while the food 49 is placed on the bag 47 housed in the container 45, the entire side surface on the outer peripheral side of the bag 47 comes in contact with the front wall 45b, the rear wall 45c and the right and left walls 45d, 45e of the container 45 over the whole periphery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
