Abstract:
A refrigerator (1) according to the present invention includes: a refrigeration compartment (4) provided with an internal light (7) that uses a lighting element with an allowable current that changes depending on a temperature; a refrigeration compartment thermistor (5) that detects a temperature inside the refrigeration compartment (4); ROM (112) that stores correspondence information indicating a correspondence between a temperature of the refrigeration compartment (4) and a junction temperature of the lighting element and a power supply rate of the lighting element; a microcomputer (11) that calculates an estimated value of the junction temperature on the basis of a temperature detected by the refrigeration compartment thermistor (5) and an elapsed amount of time from when a current loss amount of the lighting element occurred, determines a power supply rate of the lighting element on the basis of the temperature detected by the refrigeration compartment thermistor (5), the estimated value, and the correspondence information, and controls a current flowing through the lighting element on the basis of the determined power supply rate; and an internal light drive circuit (13).
