Abstract:
To provide a cold crucible melting furnace in which maintainability such as skull removal after bottom tapping and nozzle exchange is improved.SOLUTION: A cold crucible melting furnace comprises: a furnace body 1 including furnace side walls 11 and a hearth 12 and forming a furnace inner space S melting a melting object A at the inside; and a tapping part 2 provided at the hearth 12 of the furnace body 1 and having an opening port 2a for tapping the melting object A, in which the melting object A is melted by inductively heating the inside of the furnace body 1 in a state of cooling the hearth 12, and further, the melting object A is tapped from the tapping part 2 after the melting. The furnace body 1 is composed in such a manner that the lower edges of the furnace side walls 11 are assembled onto the hearth 12 without fitting them together, and the furnace side walls 11 are made separable from the hearth 12 by pulling the same upward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
