PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor that can prevent existing frame from falling from a building structure due to vibration of an earthquake and the like, and to provide a passenger conveyor renewal method.SOLUTION: The passenger conveyor 1 includes: the existing frame 2; multiple steps 5; bearing beam, and an auxiliary support member 7. The auxiliary support member 7 is mounted to both sides in a width direction of the existing frame 2.
